WEEK 1 - Assignment
MY ROAD MAP:
Name the first problem you have encountered that has given you good lessons in life.
For me, the first-ever problem I've encountered that I remember is when I received my first low grade in high school.
Describe yourself before you have encountered the problem.
I used to be uptight with myself but I was also a little careless too because of this. Although I was still confident, I overthought things easily, procrastinated most of the time, and become frustrated when I don't get things right.
List down the positive things that happened to you after learning the lessons you have in Gas Station 1.
- My willingness to do better rose.
- I became more patient with myself.
- I became more accepting of my failures and did not beat myself to it.
State things you have realized after overcoming problem/s when no one was there to help you.
I learned how to be more patient and independent since I remind myself that it is only I who would always be there for me. I also realized that I should trust myself and not underestimate the things that I can do. I also tried to remind myself that I can't always get what I want, even if I try my best. Once that I realized these things, it would make me feel like I can do anything to reach my goals.
Name the changes you have noticed in yourself after encountering challenges you have indicated in part 5 "Bridge".
I have learned how to adapt to confronting my problems. In some circumstances, I must adjust myself. I also learned that while it's great that we get support from other people, we need to remind ourselves that without them we can also do great and that it's not as difficult to trust myself as it seems. In the coming times, I should ask for help only when I cannot do it by myself anymore.
List down things/activities you do that make/s you strong whenever you feel down.
- I stop beating myself down so hard.
- I put myself in a positive environment, surrounded by people who I cherish most.
- I take little breaks to not feel overwhelmed.
Describe how your traits which you have gained through your experiences, have helped you surpass your life's challenges.
Learning to have better patience made me a more understanding person. My willingness to do better drove me into getting things finished without giving up easily. Lastly, when I became more accepting of what will happen, this gave me confidence and less worry, as worrying myself too much about one thing will affect my entire productivity and willingness to finish all of my tasks.
State one good reason why you won't choose to change yourself or your present thoughts.
I would not change my present self because we learn from our past experiences. After we have already committed them, it is only normal for us to learn and evaluate the outcomes of our actions. Like I said, we learn to adapt, which helps us gain a better understanding of the outcomes and that it will pave the way for changing ourselves.
Justify why you would still choose the road you have chosen to take.
I would still choose the same path I am taking since this is where we all learn. Although it is a very long road, full of bumps, it is there that we are able to grasp a deeper understanding of why we experiencing what we all have today.
Name three traits/values you will constantly and consistently share with others so that they will also overcome the challenges of their lives.
I will constantly share with others that we all need to become more patient in order to get what we want. "The longer you wait for something, the more you appreciate it when you get it". Second, we all need to have the drive to do something because it will be the one that will push us to go beyond our limits and not give up so easily. Lastly, you should not push yourself too much and beat yourself up when you fail. Failing is always a part of the process and we should remember that failing now will make you successful later.
